A Delicious Crockpot Chili Recipe

To make this delicious chili, you will need 1 tablespoon olive oil, 2 pounds lean ground beef, 1 large yellow onion finely chopped, 3 cloves garlic finely minced, 2 (14.5 ounce) cans diced tomatoes with green chilies, 3 (8 ounce) cans tomato sauce, 1/2 cup beef broth, 2 tablespoons chili powder, 2 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin, 2 teaspoons paprika, 2 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon granulated sugar, 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander, salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. You will also need 1 (15 ounce) can dark red kidney beans drained and rinsed and one (15 ounce) can light red kidney beans drained and rinsed. Lastly for serving you may top with some shredded cheddar cheese.

Instructions
To begin making your chili in the crock pot start by heating the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat then add the ground beef and cook until no longer pink breaking into small pieces as it cooks; about 7 minutes. Once done drain off any excess fat then add the cooked beef to your slow cooker along with the onions and garlic stirring well to combine; cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours stirring occasionally during cooking time if possible.
Next add the diced tomatoes with green chilies followed by tomato sauce then stir in beef broth chili powder cumin paprika cocoa sugar coriander salt and pepper stirring once more until all ingredients are combined well; cover and continue cooking on high setting for another hour or until vegetables are tender stirring once more during that hour if possible. Now stir in both types of kidney beans continuing to cook on high for another 15 minutes or until heated through; season with additional salt or pepper if desired before serving topped with shredded cheddar cheese as desired.
