Indulge in Delicious Pecan Pie Bars

Check out this great recipe to try for Thanksgiving!

We all have that favorite dessert recipe that we turn to time and time again when we want something sweet. Well, if you’re looking for a new recipe to add to your repertoire, look no further than these delectable pecan pie bars. With gooey filling made of eggs, corn syrup, sugar, butter and vanilla and a crunchy crust made of flour, sugar and salt, this bar is an absolute crowd pleaser. So let’s get started!
Preparing the crust is easy; simply mix the flour, sugar, and salt together in a large bowl then cut in cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Grease a 15x10x1-in baking pan with butter then press the mixture into it. Bake the crust at 350°F for 20 minutes.
Next comes the delicious filling - whisk together eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted butter and vanilla in a large bowl then stir in chopped pecans. Spread this mixture over the hot crust then bake for 25-30 minutes longer or until it is set. Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into them.
The best part about this recipe is that it can be customized to your taste preferences - add more nuts or chocolate chips for extra crunch or switch up the type of nut used if you prefer walnuts instead of pecans. You can also use different types of flavored extracts such as almond extract for a little something extra special!
