How to Care for Your New Glasses

You just bought a new pair of glasses and you're feeling great. They're stylish, they fit perfectly, and they're the perfect accessory for any outfit. But the last thing you want is for your new glasses to suffer from scratches or smudges—so how do you keep them looking and feeling like new? Let's take a look at some tips to help you care for your glasses.

Clean Regularly
One of the most important things that you can do to keep your lenses looking clean is to clean them regularly with a soft cloth made specifically for lenses. Avoid paper towels or tissue as these may scratch the lens surface. Also refrain from using saliva or other liquids such as soaps, glass cleaners, or alcohol-based sprays to clean your lenses as these can damage the coating on the lenses.

Store Safely  When not in use, make sure that you store your glasses in a hard case or a soft pouch when carrying them around in your bag or pocket. This will help protect the lenses from getting scratched while also protecting the frames from becoming bent out of shape. If you are wearing them while sleeping, remember to remove them before laying down and store them safely!

Handle Carefully When handling your glasses, make sure that you hold them by the temples or nose bridge instead of by the lenses themselves. If you wear prescription glasses, avoid touching too much around the frame because oils on your fingers can wear away at its coatings over time. Remember to be gentle with adjustments as well since too much pressure can cause damage to both frames and lenses!

Protect From The Sun  UV rays from sunlight can cause fading and discoloration of both the frames and lenses over time so make sure that you always have sun protection when wearing your glasses outdoors! Invest in an anti-reflective coating which offers protection against UV rays and glare for improved vision clarity when outside. Alternatively, polarized sunglasses are also great options if you're looking for more eye protection from outdoor activities like driving, fishing, golfing etc.

Taking good care of your new pair of glasses is essential if you want them to look good and last longer! Regular cleaning with a specialized cloth made specifically for lenses will help keep dirt and grime away without scratching or damaging any coatings on the lens surface. Store them safely in either a hard case or soft pouch when not in use, handle carefully when adjusting frames/lenses and protect from sun exposure by investing in an anti-reflective coating or polarized sunglasses! Following these simple steps will ensure that you get many years of use out of your investment!
